This week materials is Why do ideas spread ?. First off, from the very beginning, reputation gained through word of mouth and ideas are also easily shared through word of mouth. But how does it go viral ? Easy, the uniqueness and the person itself influences the virality of the idea.

In this technological age, the age where social media users thrives, ideas are spread through social media. One of them is Twitter where people share their great ideas (depends) . Then again, how did an idea spread so far and become known ? triggers. When an idea triggers emotion from a STORY. People are more likely to pay attention to the idea.
An idea MUST HAVE VALUE !, Influencers often carry unique value to their ideas that is why they are famous. Through their social media campaign, they share some of their opinion, personality and ideas. The way that they convinced an idea is a good idea using audience emotions from stories, offering value to audience, and be eye-catching, and last but not least might as well be controversial to be viral.
But, sometimes in several social media platforms, ideas from not-as-known people or regular users are difficult to get viral. WHY ? because in several platforms, celebrities, athletes, youtubers ideas are more likely to get traction and those platforms serves as a gateway to see famous people' ideas.
And THAT IS WHEN TWITTER COMES IN!
In Twitter, people can share ideas freely, and more likely to get viral because hashtags are everything controversial or catchy hashtags are more likely get viral and the idea shared by the hashtags consequently get viral but remember use it accordingly and adjust it to your context otherwise it would be misdirecting the audience.
Other than hashtags, re-tweet is also a feature to share or reply to a post then share it from your account, making the idea go viral or not, depend on users reaction to the idea.
Even Elon musk the co-founder of Paypal and the owner of Tesla company is also active on Twitter to share his ideas.

Tips & Tricks to get an IDEA TO GO VIRAL :
Find a hook (not an actual hook) but a way to catch and keep people attention
Create content worth sharing ( create an idea, add value, and be creative)
Know your audience ( make content around an idea and adjusting it to your audience, and use appropriate context)
Make it visual (eye-catching, controversial,create a story to grab the attention and emotion at the same time) to create more engagement.

Nice post! I agree on how uniqueness influences the virality. Twitter is obviously one of the biggest platform. But it doesn't really require graphics like instagram. It is more of how the person arranges the words and make it as a tweet. Basically it's more simple because it doesn't really require visuals.

I quite agree with you that in order to be noticed, your ideas must have merit. The Twitter you mentioned is a good software, people can express their opinions in it, world famous people are also using it, we can learn and learn a lot in it.
really powerful post! Twitter is definitely successful in spreading word of mouth and making campaign viral, with the simple use of hashtags. Making it easy to share ideas, and to be heard. this starts conversations, and ultimately leads to successful marketing or virality.
